Stress factors and psychosocial needs of family members of missing and separated persons
Being able to live a family life is a central concern for everyone and is a right guaranteed by various international and national conventions such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the European Convention on Human Rights and the Swiss Federal Constitution. Despite this, many people are unable to exercise this right, as it is the case for a number of beneficiaries of the Swiss Red Cross. The Tracing Service and the Humanitarian Visa Advisory Service of the Swiss Red Cross have a longstanding experience and expertise of working with family members of missing persons, as well as separated family members.
